Actor, standup, Bill Cosby instigator...playlist curator?

Comedian and Broad City star Hannibal Buress is joining Spotify's "In Residence" series, in which various artists and experts like Big Narstie and Brooklyn Vegan host uncensored shows that highlight some of their favorite songs. The shows come in the form of a playlist, with segments from the curators explaining why they chose the songs they picked.

All users can listen to the playlist -- but users at the free level won't be able to access Buress's commentary.

The comic's list is hip hop heavy, including artists like Raekwon, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest and Nas.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to change lives and inspire people with my choice of songs," Buress said in a statement. "I haven’t had such an influential platform since my 2008 appearance on Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. Thank you.”

This playlist will be the first of six Buress does for Spotify.
