The show may be homeless, but Hannibal is alive and well, and more creepy than ever.

At Comic-Con on Saturday, a panel that included the show's writer, Bryan Fuller, debuted a seriously intriguing glimpse of the remainder of the third season.

The clip gives us a peak at dramatic scenes of Francis Dolarhyde, a psychotic killer nicknamed "The Tooth Fairy," who appears in Thomas Harris' Red Dragon novel on which the story arc is closely based.

Starring Mads Mikkelsen as the show's titular cannibal, the clip includes a top shelf cast, including Hugh Dancy and Gillian Anderson, recent addition to the show, Richard Armitage, and a cameo from Zachary Quinto.

The producers have been scrambling to find another network for Hannibal after NBC announced in June that it would not continue to broadcast the show. So far, Amazon and Netflix have declined to pick it up, leaving fans concerned about its fate.

At the panel, Fuller offered a glimmer of hope in the shape of a full-length movie, according to Entertainment Weekly. "We don’t have a lot of answers and we’re looking at the possibility of a feature," he said. "Hugh and Mads are very committed to the show and would love to continue with the show, so the way this season ends, there may be an opportunity for a little break and hopefully we’ll find a way to bring Mads and Hugh back to you."

In a nod to debates that have raged recently over how premium television depicts rape (ping, Game of Thrones), Fuller also promised to tell such stories in a sensitive, complete way. "I think you should only do a rape story when you can dedicate a lot of real estate to exploring exactly what sort of violation that means for everybody involved in the situation," he added. "So often on television, they don’t, and it makes it thin and shallow and lazy."

The cast and crew seemed to be having a good time at Comic-Con despite their woes, with Fuller posting a photo of Dancy kitted out in Star Wars blazer on Instagram, complete with a light sabre.
