Looks like Pharrell wouldn't be so "Happy" if his song played in a different key.

That's what The Gregory Brothers discovered while making a compilation of happy songs performed in minor keys, and vice versa for sad songs.

Along with Pharrell, the songify-ers dabbled with the tunes of Katy Perry, John Legend, Aerosmith, Alicia Keys and Imagine Dragons.

The group spent six weeks testing out the new format on Vine and Facebook, then compiled the arrangements into one emotionally confusing YouTube mashup. The new treatment definitely gives the songs an entirely different vibe.

Take a look -- they even provide a handy version for international viewers.
