Sure, Han Solo and Chewbacca were buddy-buddy in the Star Wars movies, but ever wonder if the Wookiee and Harrison Ford got along when the cameras were off?
Turns out the two were archenemies, and all that resentment came bubbling up on Ford's appearance Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Things got so heated, Ford even called Chewie a "son of a bitch."
It could be because Ford was provoked. After telling Kimmel he didn't want to discuss anything related to the new Star Wars film, several audience members (dressed as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker) had to rethink their questions. But Chewbacca barely had a chance to spit out his thoughts, before his former co-star let it rip.
Ford stormed off-set after the altercation, clearly unable to hide his true feelings about a former Wookiee-friend-turned-enemy. It goes to show, you never really know someone even if you defeat the Empire together.
But it does show how good of an actor Ford is for pulling off this staged, yet hilarious, late-night scene.
