Han watched first.

Harrison Ford is living a life most nerds would kill for. He already got to play Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy, and to reprise the role in J.J. Abrams' upcoming sequel -- and now he's revealed that he just saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens, weeks before it opens to the general public.

“It was great,” the actor told Good Morning America. “It’s a wonderful movie, it’s got great production values. It’s a real big movie and I was delighted to see it.”

Ford, who has had a rocky relationship with his scruffy-looking nerf herder in the past, said that in The Force Awakens Han Solo has “a more complex story...a little bit more of an emotional context than perhaps there was before.”

Coming back to Star Wars -- despite his previous reservations -- was a no-brainer for Ford, he told GMA. The film had “a really good script, the opportunity to work with J.J. [Abrams], who I’ve admired, and it just seemed like a good idea,” he said.

The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18.
