Because it wasn't enough to be just an award-winning musician, singer, composer, actor, live performer, and a former judge of American Idol, Harry Connick, Jr. is taking it one step further by taking up the microphone to host his very own daytime talk show.

Premiering in September of 2016, Harry will feature everything from man-on-the-street interview segments to, of course, live musical performances and parodies.

According to Connick, Jr., the show will be "an hour filled with fun, music and laughter. Fasten your seat belts -- it's gonna be one heck of a good time!”

"I'm a lucky guy. I get to be a husband to a wonderful wife, a father to three incredible daughters, and an entertainer to the most amazing fans. And now, I’m honored to be able to put smiles on people’s faces on a daily basis,” he said in a news release.

“We really look forward to Harry Connick, Jr.’s next hit," Frank Cicha, SVP of Programming for Fox Television Stations added. "In looking at the competition, we felt this was the right time for us to add a program like this to our mix.”

So far, Harry will air on Fox owned TV stations in 17 markets, but will also be up for grabs for other station groups nation-wide.

Maybe he'll draw some hosting inspiration from his friend, Ellen.
