Heart-shaped bangs are a new trend in Korea

In Seoul’s Gangbuk district, young women (and men) have pioneered a new trend for bangs called 하트 앞머리 (hateu aapmuhri), which loosely translates to "heart bangs."

The trend (which requires bangs and a middle-part) involves using a curling iron and some hairspray to mold one's bangs into an upside-down forehead heart.

Those who are experimenting with the trend have been posting their heart-happy results on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The result is both cute and vexing, since the conjoined fringe can sometimes resemble a unibrow — but like, an exceptionally adorable unibrow?
