The days of spending 20 minutes tapping out a five-word message are over. Meet the Xbox Chatpad.

If you had an Xbox 360 Chatpad, the Xbox One version is basically an evolution of that. It's a pint-sized keyboard that attaches to the bottom of your Xbox One controller, filling out the space between the handgrips on the left and right sides of the controller.

The Chatpad features a stereo headset jack just like its Xbox 360 predecessor, but it also includes audio controls (volume and mute) and a pair of programmable buttons. You can use these to automate commands that might other require Kinect voice commands or multiple button presses, like DVR and screenshot capture.

It's not out until November, but you can pre-order one soon.
