To the Batcave! Now if only Google Maps would show us where that was ...

Every hero needs a hideaway. Han Solo has the Millennium Falcon, the Avengers have their mansion and Spider-Man has Aunt May's house. Though the real hero is behind the mask or cape, their residencies are often critical to the character, as a place of sanctuary or simply a mark of their beginnings.

The fictional headquarters of heroes are so insanely cool, they deserve their own comic book. Or at least a closer look.

This illustrated flip book, created by real estate agency Movoto, showcases 35 residencies of some of pop culture's bravest heroes. Each slide gives a little background on the importance and origins of that particular character and his home (or castle/jet/cave away from home).

If that doesn't get your nerdy senses tingling, check out the full visualization to go with it.
