HeyCosmo is an online web-cam service that lets users communicate and participate using live interactivity with each other. The site is currently in private beta but is set to launch later on tonight.

The purpose behind HeyCosmo is to broadcast content in a multimedia platform that can display videos, photos, games, or anything else users would like to share in a live manner. HeyCosmo supports up to ten live, web-cam participants and another fifty people can enjoy from a more passive manner, listening, watching or chatting during the broadcast session. For its launch, HeyCosmo will hold a live, multi-table Texas Hold'em poker game, introducing another level of online gaming in a social manner.

HeyCosmo is looking to create an incredibly collaborative platform for any purpose, whether it be for business, gaming, or simply sharing your own content with friends and family. Taking the best from social networking, web-cam, video conferencing and broadcast, HeyCosmo has combined these aspects for the sharing of content to create a different kind of stimulating experience for online communities. HeyCosmo will have ways for users to monetize their content as well, though this is a paid service for the company. The service currently does not support Firefox, and has a few known issues with Vista as well.
