hi5, the social networking site, has added a widget gallery for additional customization options for your profile.
So far, all of the widgets are powered by Slide and RockYou. There are about 20 gazillion photo editors and slide show creators (5, really), and a YouTube video skin creator. There's also a horoscope widget, a countdown widget, and more for guest books, glitter text and games. The widgets are easy enough to add to your profile: just browse through the directory and click on which ones you'd like to add. There are a couple of steps involved for adding a Slide widget, as you'll need a Slide account, and you're redirected to Slide's website. On the flip side, hi5 is now an option for one-click posting for your Slide widget.
There's a new section for widgets that have been added to your account. They appear similar to your widgets on Facebook, though it doesn't seem like widgets can be rearranged on your profile page. Freewebs and Bebo are other networks that have been heavily building up its widget bank. hi5 is additionally looking for more widget creators to enlarge its own widget gallery.
