English Premier League soccer team Manchester City is the best-paid sports team in the world, according to the new Global Sports Salaries Survey published last week by Sporting Intelligence.
Man City's average annual pay per player is $8.1 million. The New York Yankees, a close second on the list, make an average of $8 million, followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers at $7.8 million, Real Madrid at $7.6 million and Barcelona at $7.4 million. Five out of the top 10 teams are based in the United States.
