Apple is the most valuable company in the world, and it's clearly letting those riches trickle down to executives.

Angela Ahrendts, Apple's senior vice president of retail and online stores, took home the biggest paycheck of any female executive in 2014 -- a cool $82.6 million, according to the Bloomberg Pay Index.

Safra Catz, the co-CEO of Oracle, was the second-highest paid female executive. She received $71.2 million in 2014 for serving as the company's then chief financial officer. Bloomberg tracks the most well compensated executives by analyzing company regulatory filings.

Ahrendts, 54, topped even Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, who made $59.1 million in 2014, good enough to be the highest paid female chief executive last year. Mayer's compensation has taken a hit recently due to her pay package, which is heavy on Yahoo stock. Yahoo shares are down 17.9% in 2015.

Ahrendts even makes more than her own boss, Apple CEO Apple CEO Tim Cook, who made $65 million. Ahrendt's high pay even within Apple is an indication of how important Apple's retail strategy is to the company's survival.

When it comes to comparisons in pay with male executives, Ahrendts comes in just behind Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who made $84.3 million, according to Bloomberg.

Both, however, still lag behind the highest-paid male executive, GoPro CEO Nicholas Woodman, who made $284 million last year, most of it in company stock.
