Hillsborough verdict: Police at fault for the unlawful killing of 96 soccer fans

On April 15, 1989 at the FA Cup semifinal, 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death. The families of the victims have been fighting for 27 years against police claims that erratic and drunk behavior caused the disaster. On Tuesday, a jury ruled that the victims were unlawfully killed and that police errors and lack of control contributed to the devastating incident.
