It also features active shutter 3D technology on 120Hz panels.

The XT900 also includes a USB-mounted detachable camera, allowing users to access applications such as Skype and take advantage of built-in gesture control and facial recognition functionality.

Hisense first started expand globally in 2007 and has averaged 30% annual growth in annual markets, the company said during its press conference. In 2012, the company said it expected $2 billion in sales and by 2015, it aims to achieve $5 billion in international markets.

"Over the past six years, we have been working hard to build the brand," a Hisense spokesperson said. "The U.S. has been the most important market for our business [for growth]. This year we want to make up about 5% of the market share."

Pricing has not yet been announced.
