Instead of buying that one-bedroom New York City condo, why don't you invest a few thousand dollars more and build an exact replica of the Statue of Liberty?

According to an infographic created by HomeAdvisor, the cost of material and labor in building a new Statue of Liberty would be vastly cheaper in 2015, due to advances in technology and more readily available materials.

Keep in mind that the estimations HomeAdvisor arrived at are not the cost of the landmark's original construction, adjusted for inflation. These estimated costs reflect the 2015 price of the materials used in the original build, accounting for faster construction times and using similar modern projects to determine the labor costs.

Knowing that, we still don't think you can build a Christ the Redeemer statue in your backyard for $1.5 million but if you have the money, give it a shot and let us know.

Take a look below at what some other iconic landmarks would cost, if built in 2015.
