Sex and the City fans will recall that Samantha Jones knows her vibrators. Or, as the show's fictional Sharper Image employee calls them in that iconic 2002 episode, "neck massagers."

Soon after Samantha extolled the virtues of the Magic Wand, the Hitachi Magic Wand skyrocketed in popularity. Though the Japanese brand has since removed its name from the product, the Magic Wand Original remains a popular "personal massager" among the ladies.

Now, a new slightly NSFW Tumblr is taking the Magic Wand way back to the times of Da Vinci and Sargent: The Hitachi Magic Wand Throughout Art History.

The creator behind this clever blog has done a remarkable job placing Magic Wands into some of history's most recognizable works of art, like Michaelangelo's "The Creation of Adam." Even Napoleon is in on the fun, waving a Magic Wand above his head as he crosses the Alps.

Beyond the perfect Photoshop is a deeper messaging, one that shows the relatively taboo subject of female masturbation in a positive light.

Even Mona Lisa knows what's up.
