Trailer for 'The Hobbit' Sequel Reveals Smaug's Terrifying Voice

The second trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hit the web Tuesday, complete with giant spiders, a massive bear and the haunting voice of Benedict Cumberbatch.

The story will continue to follow the path of the dwarves and Bilbo Baggins as they travel to take back the Lonely Mountain from the fire-breathing dragon Smaug, and it appears Legolas will be joining the terrifying party as well.

"Well thief, where are you?" rumbles the dragon (voiced by Cumberbatch). "Come now. Don't be shy. Step into the light."

We'll have to wait until Dec. 13, when this follow-up to 2012's An Unexpected Journey will arrive in theaters, to find out.
