Home Alone is making its picture book debut.

The totally illogical and secretly terrifying Christmas movie is now the basis for Home Alone: The Classic Illustrated Story by illustrator Kim Smith.

Home Alone premiered on Nov. 16, 1990 and will turn 25 this year. Smith reimagined the story as a "classic Christmas fable," but with more booby traps and terrible parenting skills.

The picture book is out now via Quirk Books.
