LONDON -- It's normally pretty important to get your spelling right when you're an official government website, but it's arguably even more important when you're advertising an "English requirement" language test for migrants.

Unfortunately the Home Office fell slightly short of that benchmark with a recent announcement on the official UK government website.

British government misspells 'language' in announcement of English tests for migrants. Ouch https://t.co/CXd5oH9AtC pic.twitter.com/nSebnqabTA— Naomi O'Leary (@NaomiOhReally) January 22, 2016

Yep, in an article about the Prime Minister's new English language requirements for migrants and the test they'll need to complete in order to stay in the UK, they misspelled the word "language" opting instead for "langauge".

The announcement was first published on Thursday, 22 Jan., and the error was fixed Friday.
