The Two Faces of Hong Kong: National Day Photos Show Stark Division

HONG KONG -- The scene at National Day celebrations across Hong Kong couldn't have been more different from what was happening on the city's streets.

As Hong Kong's top leader, Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying (also known as CY Leung), greeted Beijing officials behind a barrier of security to mark the 65th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, tens of thousands of protesters continued to fill the streets in Admiralty to fight for democracy.

Mainly comprised of senior citizens and families, a small group of people appeared to show their support for Leung. In contrast, the majority stopping traffic on the highways were students and young adults.
