LONDON -- Forget everything you know about contouring: You won't need any make-up to achieve this season's hottest cheekbone trend.
During Gareth Pugh's AW16 show at London Fashion Week, models sported hyper plumped-up cheekbones with a hauntingly-beautiful dimension. Haunting being the operative word.
To create the look, make-up artist Val Garland stretched pieces of elastic under models' cheekbones, fastening them behind the tops of their ears. Using the elastic, Garland lifted the top lip to create a "painfully gorgeous" plumped-up pout.
Think 1940s glamour meets American Horror Story; or "Joan Crawford if she was Hannibal Lecter’s mistress," as Garland told Marie Claire.
Speaking of Hannibal Lecter; models also rocked full-face leather masks reminiscent of "Silence of the Lambs" -- a stark contrast against the forties-style hair styling.
Hannibal, is that you?
