Labor Day will bring with it the start of a magical two-night miniseries.

In Houdini, airing Sept. 1 and 2 at 9 p.m. ET, Oscar winner Adrien Brody stars as the master of illusion himself, whose thrill-seeking and mind-blowing stunts made him a notorious figure both in his era (the late 1800s, early 1900s) and beyond.

The miniseries goes beyond his on-stage persona, however, and takes a look into his sometimes troubled psyche, his rise to fame, and his personal life, including his marriage to one-time assistant Bess Houdini, played by House of Cards alum Kristen Connolly.

Above is a clip from the miniseries that you'll only see on Mashable.
