LONDON -- Damn you, Internet, why do you make our heads hurt like this?
Just when you think you've had all the dresses and pandas you can take, someone goes and creates something else that seems expressly designed to mess with minds and cause never-ending arguments on social media.
The latest in this unceasing series of online illusions comes from Swiss photographer Tiziana Vergari, who shared the following picture on Instagram last week.

At the time of writing that photo has around 700 comments, most of which seem to be from people trying to work out how many girls there actually are in the photo.
Is it three? Four? Two? Identical twins? Where exactly is the mirror? No one can quite agree.
So how many girls are actually in the picture? Well, despite the many different arguments and theories, many people seemed to be thinking along these lines.
Vergari herself has since taken to the comments to clear things up. The photo does indeed show two sisters, both of whom are looking into mirrors (the nearest girl is looking into a mirror that's just out of shot of the camera, which adds to the confusion).
