That was fast.
Twitter officially replaced the stars that symbolized "favorites" with heart-shaped likes on Tuesday morning -- and Twitter, appropriately, freaked out.
So it shouldn't be surprising that there's already a Google Chrome extension that will bring the stars back to Twitter. Fav Forever, which rolled out to the Chrome Web Store just hours after Twitter's big change, will change the hearts back to stars on Twitter's website.

The simple Chrome extension, pointed out by Product Hunt, was created by Brooklyn-based developer Reed Kavner. Once the extension is installed, tweets on Twitter's website will show stars that say "favorite," rather than hearts that say "like."
I made a Chrome extension that brings stars back. It's all going to be okay. https://t.co/kBAh7B5OP5— Reed Kavner (@reedkavner) November 3, 2015
"On November 3, 2015, the lives of millions of Twitter users were forever changed," its description on the Chrome Web Store reads. "Where yesterday there were stars, today there are hearts. Fav Forever brings the stars back."
There are some limitations to the tool, however. It doesn't change how tweets appear outside of Twitter.com, and user profile pages still say "likes," rather than favorites. But for outraged Twitter users who are not so happy with the update, the extension offers a valuable tool for #TeamStar.
