Filed your taxes yet? If not, we're here to help.

There are plenty of options for how to do your taxes. Which is right for you? Well that depends, says Kelly Phillips Erb, on what's happened in your life in 2015: did you get married? Did you move?

No wonder everyone puts off this walk down memory lane. But even if you're late and you're not going to make it by April 15, all is not lost. Gail Rosen, a certified public accountant and tax specialist, says to immediately file an extension, try to estimate what you owe and pay as much as you can. Otherwise, you risk running into a penalty.

"You can't do nothing. That's the bottom line," Rosen said.

For those who want to save on the fees, with precious days to spare, here's our handy flowchart to help show how you should do your taxes -- or whether you should do them at all or pass them off to someone else. Note: if you choose an accountant, move fast: most of them run off to long vacations shortly after the filing deadline.

One note: this infographic applies only to people who are required to pay U.S. taxes. If you're unsure, click to here to find out if you owe Uncle Sam.
