LONDON -- Emma Watson announced that she was setting up a feminist book club in a tweet on Wednesday, and people across the world were quick to express their excitement.

After encouraging people to send in name suggestions and then eventually settling on Our Shared Shelf, Watson has now made the book club official with a group on goodreads.

It's official - 'Our Shared Shelf' is up and running. First book - My life on the road. https://t.co/nVWNPy21za— Emma Watson (@EmWatson) January 7, 2016

The group's image shows a speech bubble with the words "Feminism is for everyone", and (at the time of writing) the group has over 28,000 members.

Here's Watson's introductory message to the group.

To get involved, all you need to do is sign up for an account on goodreads, then head to the group and hit join.

The first book on the list is Gloria Steinem's My Life on the Road (and it looks like Steinem's keen to be involved, too).
