Whether you have an older standby device like the BlackBerry or one of the new kids on the block, like the iPhone or G1, you can vastly improve the way your smartphone works with any of your Google accounts. Here are some helpful tips:

Synchronizing Gmail Contacts

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Gmail mobile edition lets you compose emails in offline mode, which will get sent once you have Internet access again.

G1 - GMail and Android (T-Mobile G1) obviously work well together because Google owns both. Here's a tutorial for Google Contacts on Android (T-Mobile G1).

Windows Mobile Devices - Setting up GMail on Windows Mobile Devices is similar to the iPhone setup because it works best with the IMAP option. You can choose to use the pop mail option instead. However, if you want to manage your GMail account in real-time, IMAP is the way to go.

Windows Mobile Devices - The Calendar on Windows Mobile devices can just as easily sync with Google Calendar.
