New York Fashion Week begins Thursday, Feb. 12, and saunters through the following week until Thursday, Feb. 19. During this time, the most influential American fashion designers debut their Fall/Winter 2015 collections -- you know, because they're way ahead the curve.

The event
New York Fashion Week is hosted by Mercedes-Benz. The website has the most mainstream fashion information, but you'll have to hunt the full Fashion Week calendar for lesser-known shows and designers around the city.
