BERLIN -- The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year -- along with the iPhone 6, of course -- and we’re just a few hours away from Samsung’s big announcement live in Berlin.

While Samsung is holding two additional simultaneous events for the launch -- one in New York City and another in Beijing -- you’ll be able to tune into the presentation from the IFA 2014 tech conference in Berlin via the Samsung Mobile YouTube page.

Mashable will be on the ground in both New York and Berlin, and the event kicks off at 9 a.m. ET/3 p.m. CEST (Berlin), so be sure to fire up the live stream and our live blog for up-to-date news and analysis.

Ahead of the presentation, Samsung hinted at the product in a promotional video posted to YouTube and used some choice words in its event invitation sent to members of the press to “Note the date.”

If alleged leaked photos of the Galaxy Note 4 are any indication, the smartphone will feature a 5.7-inch screen, a stylus pen, a display with 2k resolution, a UV sensor and a metal design.

The Galaxy Note 4 will likely get the most stage time, but it’s possible we could see another large smartphone: the Galaxy Mega 2. We might also get a peek at Samsung’s rumored Gear VR headset, its answer to the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus.

Although we don’t know what to expect for sure, Samsung loves to put on a good show, and judging by the need for a three-city launch event, we can expect it to be big. Possibly 5.7-inches big.
