Not content with showing off a virtual reality display, HP upped its monitor game at CES 2015 by unveiling a number of curved and 4K monitors -- and even a 5K display.

Like LG, HP is dipping its toes into curved displays with a 27-inch model and a 34-inch model.

The 27-inch S270c has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and is available now for $399. Its 34-inch curved display has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3440 x 1440, and features built-in 6-watt/channel speakers with DTS audio. It be available in April for $999.

4k and beyond

In addition to the curved displays, HP is releasing two 4K displays and a 27-inch 5K display. The 4K displays, the 24-inch HP Z27s and 27-inch HP Z24s, feature 16:9 UHD panels. Both include DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, mini-DisplayPort, MHL and USB 3.0 connections.

The Z27s will set you back $749 and will be available later this month; the Z24s will go for $549 and hits shelves this April.

But the biggest news is the Z27q, HP's 5K 27-inch IPS monitor. It has a 5120x1440 resolution and is calibrated out of the box for perfect 10-bit color. It also features two DisplayPort 1.2 ports and 5 USB 3.0 ports (four are downstream, one upstream). It will also support picture-in-picture, letting users display mobile devices and PC feeds simultaneously.

The price of the HP Z27q, however, may surprise you: It debuts in March for $1299, about half the price of a iMac with Retina 5K display and a few hundred dollars less than a similar model from Dell.
