Just weeks after launching its flagship phone, the HTC One M9, HTC unveiled a slightly larger and much-improved variant -- but only in China. However, it is not available for purchase yet.

The HTC One M9+'s specs resemble a laundry list of the features missing from the already quite powerful M9. It has a 5.2-inch, 2K/Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) display, in contrast to One M9's 5-inch, 1080p display. The M9+ also has a powerful new octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 chip and a fingerprint sensor below the screen -- a first for a HTC flagship smartphone, though the HTC One Max had a fingerprint sensor in the back.

The HTC One M9+ also pairs the 20-megapixel camera with an additional, UltraPixel one on the back, enabling 3D photo-shooting mode. You might remember that the HTC One M8 had dual cameras on the back, but the M9 only had a single 20-megapixel shooter.

The rest of the specs include 3GB of RAM, a 2,840 milliamp-hour (mAh) battery and stereo speakers on the front; the design remains very similar to the M9, save for the fingerprint sensor and the Duo camera on the back. The HTC One M9+ will be available in a silver-gold combination, gold and gunmetal grey colors.

The price and exact date of availability have not yet been revealed.
