Hugh Jackman as Wolverine might be tough on screen, but his most recent social media post proves he might be human after all.

Jackman posted a photo of himself on Twitter on Tuesday, sporting a band-aid on his nose that's hiding a sinister ailment. The Wolverine actor revealed he had a basal cell carcinoma removed, a mild form of skin cancer that can be commonly found on your face, back, ears, shoulders or neck.

An example of what happens when you don't use sunscreen. Basal cell. Mildest form of cancer. USE SUNSCREEN PLEASE !! pic.twitter.com/phQsRS5QiI— Hugh Jackman (@RealHughJackman) February 8, 2016

It's the fifth skin cancer Jackman has had removed, after first discovering "a spot of blood" on his nose in November 2013. Jackman thought it was caused by his Wolverine claws during the filming of X Men: Days Of Future Past.

But after getting it checked out, he was told he had a basal cell carcinoma, which was a shock to the Hollywood actor who admitted not using sun protection. "Being an Australian it's a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it," Jackman told People in May 2015.

Jackman pleaded with his Twitter followers to "use sunscreen please," a reprise of his message on Instagram back in November 2013, when he also told people to "get themselves checked" for cancers.

Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!! A photo posted by Hugh Jackman (@thehughjackman) on Nov 21, 2013 at 9:58am PST

While basal cell carcinomas are mostly non-life threatening, they can spread if not removed. It's one of three skin cancers, with the other two being squamous cell carcinoma and dangerous melanoma.

Don't forget to slip, slop, slap, folks.
