That means the Netflix competitor has managed to nearly double its subscriber base in just seven months. Back in September, the company announced it had one million Hulu Plus subscribers.
Hulu Plus gives customers access to a range of TV shows and films for $7.99 per month, and is a direct competitor to Netflix. Like Netflix, Hulu Plus is available on the iPhone, iPad, select Android phones and a variety of set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and connected TVs. Also like Netflix, Hulu is increasingly investing in the development of original programming.
