Baidu controls more than 60 percent of China's search engine market, and like Google, it offers dozens of other services. However, this will be its first stab at online video. The investment firm and Baidu will together pour money into a fund to buy content to stream on the site. There's no word at all on exactly what shows or films will be hosted, but the implication is definitely that it will be professionally produced content like you can watch on Hulu and the BBC iPlayer.
