LONDON -– We’ve seen cocktail bitters made with crickets, cocktails served in hot water bottles, and even cocktails that you "drink" through inhalation.

But we still haven't seen it all.

The food and drink alchemists Bompas & Parr -- who were also behind the "breathable" alcohol -- are hosting a workshop on Dec. 15 where you can make cocktail bitters from your own tears. Real human tears.

The workshop at the British Museum of Food will be filled with candles and a classical soundtrack in order to help bring on the tears.

If the candles and classical music aren't effective tearjerkers, the folks at Bompas & Parr will use strong-smelling menthol to get the tears rolling. If that doesn't work, participants can expect to have the skin around their eyes massaged to bring on a tear or two. Once the tears have been collected, participants can choose a combination of herbs and spices to add a unique flavour to their tears. Then, they'll infuse the mixture with neutral-flavoured alcohol.

“We often work from a historical point of view," a Bompas & Parr spokesperson told Mashable. "There are stories from the American Civil War where women were said to have cried into bottles and saved them for when their husbands come home. It has a sort of magic about it, saving these emotions.”

Hopefully there will be tissues ready.
