Hypercube Makes Your Web Widgets Available on Your Desktop

Mesa Dynamics, a software development company specializing in desktop applications, has launched the alpha preview release of its Amnesty Hypercube, which is a Universal widget platform.

This platform enables you to import and collect widgets from across the web, and use them independently of your web browser. With one click, a web widget can be included in your Hypercube sidebar, and made available on your desktop. With this tool, you can manage, organize and access all of your HTML and Flash widgets. There's also a widget directory that lists 150+ widget makers, which can be searched by category, directly from the Hypercube application.

Acting as a bridge for web and desktop widget applications, Hypbercube is aiming to offer a centralizing tool for the use of your widgets. Similar to the Yahoo and Google approach of offering a desktop tool and central location for widget access, Hypercube extends this concept by bringing a Universal application that could appeal to a wider user base, as it is brand-agnostic. Hypercube is currently available for free for Windows Vista and XP with .NET 2.0 or later, and Mac OS X Panther (10.3.9) or later.
