Shintaro Okamoto, one of New York City's premier ice sculptors, grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. "Not all Alaskans play with ice, but I did," he said. Now he owns Okamoto Studio, an artist collective that produces large-scale ice sculpture in New York City.
