iFamily's Family Tree Facebook application has received funding for an undisclosed amount from CountryRoad Capital LLC, a New York-based boutique investment firm.
The Family Tree Facebook application is a way to build your family tree, display your heritage and meet others that are using the facebook app as well. Adding a new member to your tree will open a new browser window where you can enter in the information for a relative, or choose a relative from your Facebook friends list. For displaying your heritage, you can select up to three tags to show, and this all centers around different countries your family hails from. There's also an option to show your favorite family members on your profile page, which could be a sensitive issue if Facebook were more of a familiy-oriented site!
