Iggy Pop ditched his  see-through pants and went fully nude earlier this month for a life drawing course at the New York Academy of Art.

Artists aged anywhere between 19 and 80 -- yes, 80 -- gathered to stare at and collectively scrutinize Iggy's 68-year-old body for an upcoming exhibit titled Iggy Pop Life Class. Artist Jeremy Deller came up with the idea for the project, saying Iggy was the perfect choice because "his body has witnessed much." That's for sure.

“The life class is a special place in which to scrutinize the human form. As the bedrock of art education and art history, it is still the best way to understand the body,” Deller said in a statement.

“I makes perfect sense for Iggy Pop to be the subject of a life class; his body is central to an understanding of rock music and its place within American culture. His body has witnessed much and should be documented.”

Iggy Pop Life Class will be part of an exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum this fall before going on tour.
