Travel network Iloho has launched new geographical browsing capabilities with the addition of a new interactive world map. It lets you search travel news by location, queuing up stories that are associated with the selected region our country for filtering purposes. With the recent acquisition of Frappr by Platial, it's clear that social mapping is an important part of online networking, especially within a travel community.
There's also some improved functionality for user profiles, which lets you see stories a user has posted, commenting and voting options for content, and recent activity throughout the site. A new profile ranking system will let users build up credit, which translates into a trusted score number.
Lastly, Iloho has updated its social bookmarking system to help users promote their travel stories. This is really just an added string of bookmarking links for one-click adds to sites like Digg, del.icio.us and reddit.
