When David Bowie met Iman in the 1990s, he says it was love at first sight. She, however, was a little apprehensive about dating a rock star.
"I was not ready for a relationship. Definitely I didn't want to get into a relationship with somebody like him. But as I always said: I fell in love with David Jones. I did not fall in love with David Bowie," Iman said in a 2012 interview with The Guardian. "Bowie is just a persona. He's a singer, an entertainer. David Jones is a man I met."
She clearly had a change of heart, though, because the two were married for 23 years before the singer passed away. The couple has one daughter together.
