Imeem, the popular music social network, has secured a new round of funding from Sequoia Capital. According to Paul Bonanos at TheDeal, the amount of funding remains undisclosed, and it is unclear if their previous investor, Morgenthaler Ventures, was involved.
The company has been on a bit of a buying binge as of late, having acquired Snocap last week, and Anywhere.fm back in January, both for undisclosed amounts. Imeem also recently debuted their own platform, allowing developers to build applications that leverage Imeem's catalog of free streaming music from all four of the major record labels.
