In Mashable's new video series, Behind the Launch, we're taking cameras behind the scenes at Vungle, an in-app video advertising startup. New episodes air every Monday and Wednesday, but we're running bonus footage throughout the series to provide a deeper look into the startup experience.

The guys from Vungle met Todd Hooper, CEO of Zipline Games at a conference in a recent episode, and in Monday's episode, Zain and Colin flew up to Seattle to meet with Hooper. In the video above, Hooper offers feedback about the effectiveness of in-app ads, opining that brand ads -- whether they're for a game, a Starbucks drink or a new movie -- are more engaging from a user perspective.

Would an in-app ad influence your buying behavior? Join the conversation on Twitter, #BehindTheLaunch, and check out new episodes of 'Behind the Launch' every Monday and Wednesday.
