Index Ventures informed us earlier today that the firm, which is among the leading early-stage Internet investors in Europe, has closed a €350M fund. That brings the total capital under management to more than €1 billion.
They've also added former Skype global marketing VP Saul Klein as a venture partner - Saul was the founder of UK video rental service Video Island. Additionally, they've made some appointments to the life sciences team (that's another focus of their investments: life sciences).
