The 13th edition of India's flagship auto show opened its doors in Greater Noida, on the outskirts of New Delhi on Feb. 3. Auto Expo 2016 is the biggest edition in the show's 30-year-long history.

With brands from over 20 countries showcasing automobiles, the event is expected to have more than 80 vehicle launches. These include Indian automakers such as Mahindra and Tata Motors, as well as international names like BMW and Mercedes. Ford announced its plans to launch the Mustang in India later this year.

The new launches include Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Honda BR-V, Tata Hexa and Hyundai Tucson. Despite industry uncertainty about a pollution crackdown targeting diesel vehicles in Delhi, a new batch of diesel-guzzling SUVs were on display. Notably, the Fiat Chrysler-owned Jeep made its India debut and is hoping to capitalise on the popularity of sports utility vehicles.
