The citizens of Peoria, Arizona will never be the same again.

Earlier this morning, a 25-foot tall, 300-pound inflatable pumpkin broke free of its chains and stormed through Peoria streets, causing chaos and destruction (traffic) in its terrifying wake.

Captured on video by Peoria local Diego Ramirez, the brazen pumpkin barrels through a busy intersection and multiples lanes of traffic.

The pumpkin was supposed to be part of a Halloween pumpkin display, reports local news station 12 News. Big AZ promotions, who owns the inflatable, then spent 40 minutes driving around town trying to capture the runaway.

Eventually, the company was able to track down the pumpkin in a neighborhood park. Though no injuries were reported, the pumpkin was forced to be deflated.

Watch the pumpkin's great escape for yourself.
