Umair is gonna love this one. So we all know that Cafepress, Qoop, Zazzle et al have enabled peer production, global microbrands, mass personalization, customization and much more besides. We're also seeing services like Eyespot, Ning and Dabble enabling the next new media trend: remixing. And now a service called innerTee is mashing up all these ideas to create something even more compelling: remixable (ie. mashable) t-shirts. From the site:
Using the innerTee community features you can share your designs and elements with mixers and other artists. Then promote your creations however you see fit - post them on MySpace, add them to your blog, send them to contacts. Let others know they can come mix their own design using your elements, someone else's or a combination of the two! You can even share your favorite mixes with your friends. Purchase elements and designs for your own use and earn credit when others purchase your elements and designs. Once you have enough credits, convert them to cash or use them to buy more apparel and art through the innerTee site.
