Here's What Instagram Ads Will Look Like

Instagram offered a first glimpse at what its ads will look like in a blog post Thursday.

The sample ad, which you can see below, will resemble a typical image or video shared on the social network except it will include a Sponsored label in the top right corner and offer users the option to hide it from their stream.

Instagram announced earlier this month that it would begin rolling out ads to users in the coming months. In the blog post Thursday, Instagram revealed it will introduce the sample ad sometime "in the coming week."

"We want ads to be creative and engaging, so we’re starting with just a handful of brands that are already great members of the Instagram community," the company wrote. "If you see an ad that doesn’t interest you, you can tap the '…' below it to hide it and provide feedback about what you didn’t like. This will help us show you more interesting ads in the future."

Instagram provides another example of an ad users might see on the About page for its advertising product:
