If you're looking for a new apartment and you'd like to hear firsthand about the complex or property you're considering, you can search for it on introin and see what existing renters have to say. If there's not yet any available resource (renter or owner) for that property, you can set an alert so you'll be notified when a new resource for that property joins the site.
If a renter has added himself as a reference, you're able to connect directly through introin on a private message board. This means that introin isn't necessarily a review site--you won't see user reviews of neighborhoods and properties. The information shared via introin is private.
So what incentive does an existing renter have to add themselves as a resource? If their property has referral bonuses then having an online platform where lessees can promote the property in order to receive a bonus could be incentive enough.
